Overall Call:
What a promising start for a young filmmaker. Jake Kasdan son of writer director Lawrence Kasdan started strong then went on to direct some notable TV series (Freaks and Geeks, Grosse Pointe). Hopefully he'll return to some of his own film projects soon. This film depending on your tastes is quite solid. It tends to be a bit talky (which I prefer when well written) and the wit is quirky and specific. These aspects I love, so the film hit right on the mark for me. Bill Pullman is hysterical as Daryl Zero the rather eccentric and perceptive detective. Ben Stiller is equally funny as the dumped upon schlep sidekick. Overall it's a great movie that for whatever reason had very little screen time and never received much recognition. Give this one a chance I think it'll win you over.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Smart writing
+ Pullman and Stiller are very funny
+ Good who dunnit
