Overall Call:
Neil LaBute's second film is as dark as his first, In the Company of Men. He continues the theme of self-absorbed characters attempting to fulfill their empty lives. This is an interesting character study with a lot of engaging dialogue. I found the film hilarious but if you're looking for light comedy keep looking. The humor displayed here is dark and the script doesn't shy away from frank discussions on sex and other semi-taboo subject matter. The acting from all the main characters is top notch; everyone I talk to has a different favorite performance. This is not a light romantic comedy in the traditional sense. It is however, a dark look at some rather undesirable characters looking for love in all the wrong places - and going about it in all the wrong ways. If this sounds interesting to you I would highly recommend Your Friends and Neighbors.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Excellent script
+ Excellent acting
