Overall Call:
This cult favorite is a must-see if you have not seen it already. The story, or lack there of, is a series of vignette like scenes that have you flowing in and out of via each characters entrance or exit. Richard Linklater put together a very funny film. There are an endless supply of bizarre characters pontificating on a wide range of topics, while not really doing anything in particular - I guess they're just slackers. I know few people that didn't get a kick out of at least a couple of characters or scenes. Slacker is Linklater's study of varied personalities with his interpreted vibe of a town called Austin. If this sounds neat go rent it.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ One of a kind cult classic
+ Many characters many laughs
