Overall Call:
Shallow Grave is the first film from director Danny Boyle and writer John Hodge whose second effort was the career launching Trainspotting. This is a great little find if you haven't heard of it already. It is a dark tale of three friends that run into moral dilemmas when a new roommate ends up dead with a load of cash in his room. There are a lot of twists and turns. The acting is solid and the direction has a healthy dose of style. The soundtrack is a good one and starts what has become a standard musical integration in Danny Boyal's films. This is great little stylish morality thriller that you should enjoy if you come across it.
