Overall Call:
Raising Arizona is probably one you've already heard of. So this review is for the few they may not have and a reminder to see it again for those that have. Yet another classic from the Coen Brothers. If for some unanswerable reason you have not cared for the Coen's early oddball dramas this one deserves separate consideration. This one is all funny slapstick cartoonish humor done with dose of intellect. From the first yodeling whine until the final credits you can't help but be amused by this film of total loonesy. Even if you don't find it as entertaining as I did there will be something in there that will make you laugh out loud. Nicolas Cage is in peek quirk form before he fell into the summer Bruckheimer blockbuster black hole. Holly Hunter is fabulous as is everyone else. If you need movie escapism and a healthy dose of hilarity rent Raising Arizona. When you start it don't settle in too much, for soon you'll be on the floor rolling around (laughing).
