Overall Call:
This one is a slow moving black and white film masterfully shot with too many interesting characters to count; or in other words just another Coen Brothers film. Billy Bob Thorton is perfectly cast as Ed Crane, the quiet chain-smoking protagonist. Everyone in the film shines. As slow as the film plodded along it never made me want for speed. The story never takes too predictable a turn either. I was truly engaged by this film about crime and punishment, poor decision-making and relationships gone bad. If the preceding is what you're looking for you will enjoy it too.
Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Beautifully shot
+ Billy Bob Thorton shines bright in black and white
