Overall Call:
Right off the bat; note that this one doesn't go down easy. Hurlyburly is an acting extravaganza; Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey and Chazz Palminteri are as engaging as can be. The subject matter is very raw at times (sex, drugs, etc.). The basic gist is, a bunch of self-absorbed L.A. entertainment types running around and trying to make-believe their lives mean something. The film is based off of a play by the same title and sometimes comes across as such. Overall it will hold your attention and if you're into unbelievable acting check this one out.
Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Brilliant acting
+ Raw engaging script
