Overall Call:
This is the musical compliment to Moulin Rouge. Hedwig shares Moulin's intensity and humor but on a completely different level. The film is in the vein of the 70's androgynous glam rock counter-culture and in a no holds bard manner. The movie portrays the trials and tribulations of Hedwig and his band The Angry Inch. The humor and lyrics are both clever and at times down right hysterical; prolonged laughter occurred on numerous occasions. There is also a great set up of the extreme nature of the band and subject matter juxtaposed with low-level diner crowds, often with very funny results. If you can deal with the subject matter this one is a great ride to take.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Great 70's glam rock soundtrack
+ Great sense of humor throughout
