This film is not for the faint at heart. It starts out innocent enough with two young girls forge a close relationship. They soon become too close for the parents comfort. Then things get out of hand. Based off of true events, the film stays meticulously true to the facts of the story. The disturbing tale becomes more so when you realize that it's true. The actresses are both very good and this is chance to see Kate Winslett pre-Titanic era. Wonderfully shot and all the moods of the girls' fantasies are captured well by director Peter Jackson. Recommended for those with strong constitutions.
