Overall Call:
Actor Vondie Curtis-Hall's directorial debut is a confident well executed film. Gridlock'd certainly ranks up there with all the great buddy flicks. Tim Roth and Tupac Shakur are excellent as two junkies trying their best to kick heroin. The film plays like a series of redirected mishaps. Spoon and Stretch (Shakur and Roth) attempt, with the best intentions, to quit their drug habit while life seems to be doing everything to stop them. The film utilizes slow motion and other unique filming styles without coming off as showy. Gridlock'd has a consistently strong sense of humor that is often displayed simply by the main characters mannerisms. Along with this sense of humor the film is not short on the heavy drama either; it is a well balanced story. By all accounts this is a fast paced well put together hour and a half of fun filmmaking. Check out Gridlock'd you'll be glad you did.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Well balanced story of humor and drama
+ Two great performances by Tim Roth and Tupac Shakur
