Overall Call:
Frequency is an engaging father and son story that twists into a bit of an action thriller. Dennis Quaid and James Caviezel provide a believable basis as the father and son allowing the audience to have sympathy for their plight. As their history unfolds you gain pieces that release a bit of a mysterious twist for the third and final act. I would advise you not to try and pick apart the inevitable lack of consistency involving talking with the dead, as you will become frustrated. You will enjoy it much more just going along for the ride at face value. Many critics complained of the film being two movies in one. Two for one? I didn't have a problem with that; it made for a fun story. This was good in theatres and makes a great rental.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Fun cross genre storyline
+ Solid father son relationship portrayal turned in by Dennis Quaid and James Caviezel
