Overall Call:
Andrew Fleming put together a funny sleeper comedy. The combination of great characters, two leads that hold their own and one situation after the next that doesn't disappoint, makes for a great rental. Both Will Ferrell and Bruce McCulloch were personal highlights playing Woodward and Bernstein. I also enjoyed how major historical points were explained away so effortlessly, as if to say - duh of course it happened this way. The humor was of the variety pack style. There's a joke in there for everyone. If you are well versed on the era and the actual scandle it will play even better. So if you've got a Saturday night at home on your hands, and SNL and Mad TV are repeats (even if they ain't) rent this one I think you like.
Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Funny in places you wouldn't expect
+ Wonderful collection of sketch comedy vets doing what they do best, funny characters
