Overall Call:
Dark Days deals with a rather bleak subject matter in an uplifting manner. Marc Singer succeeds at maintaining as objective a view as possible on the lives of the homeless. It is an underground (literally) lifestyle that is conveyed with a rather unflinching perspective. To say that the film is beautifully shot in black and white seems weird, but there is a unique delicate style to the documentary. What at first seemed like just another shout-out for the plight of the homeless, quickly became an artistic, informative and objective look at a rather specific group of people. I recommend this one highly.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Informative well shot documentary
