Overall Call:
Croupier is another fine example of how a well told story outweighs flashy special effects. The story is well written and doesn't force-feed you every little detail allowing you to slowly digest the plot like a fine meal. The acting is rather impressive from this relatively unknown cast. There is a healthy dose of rather effective interior narrative delivered by the films lead. The direction is self-assured and compliments the script very well. This one isn't a big twisted story but there are enough intricacies that occur, so I'll say no more to allow the story to unravel in a fresh way.
Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Great story
+ Intriguing characters
