Overall Call:
Crimes and Misdemeanors has many of the qualities you have come to expect from Woody Allen and an added dose of moral intensity. The film is considered one of Allen's heavier films. The acting is excellent as you would expect with a cast list consisting of Martin Landau, Anjelica Huston, Alan Alda, Sam Waterston and Mia Farrow. Weighty issues involving the titles topics and religious beliefs are the story's focus. If you are in the mood to contemplate life's more difficult issues give Crimes and Misdemeanors a viewing it's a heavyweight in many ways.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Well written and directed story
+ Top notch acting
