Overall Call:
Ted Demme has delivered an entertaining film based on the life of George Jung. If copious amounts of drugs, risks, excess, brief moments in luxury's lap and time behind bars interests you, it will be tough not liking this film. It is delivered in a fun Hollywood style and the pace moves consistently throughout. Groundbreaking cinema it isn't, just good down home entertainment. Both Johnny Depp and Paul Rubens are engaging enough in there roles. The soundtrack while not anything you haven't heard in many recent films set in the same time period, is effective too. If the buzz has peeked your interest I think you'll enjoy.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Fun Hollywood entertainment
+ Depp delivers a solid performance as usual
