Overall Call:
Barry Levinson has delivered once again. From The Natural to Bandits Levinson just flat out tells a great story. Bandits' story is not only pushed along by an interesting plot but the characters make the trip such an enjoyable process. Billy Bob Thornton once again nails down the nutty obsessive character, completely convincing me of his physical maladies. Bruce Willis takes a very stoic back seat to the other more flamboyant characters offered in the story. Kate Blanchet rounds out the three leads with a very solid performance herself. Cate playing the role of Kate is very committed and believable while taking on a role that seems open enough for any gorgeous Hollywood actress to play. I heard the main complaint coming out from critics that the film seemed to take to much time. I enjoyed hanging out with these three characters enough that the time just flew by. This film is highly recommended to please all audiences.
Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Three great lead characters
+ Fun story that isn't as predictable as it first seems
