Overall Call:
David Fincher never fails to make his films interesting to look at. Panic Room is no exception. The main component that has been inconsistent regarding Fincher's work has been the material selected (Fight Club and Seven being exceptions). Panic Room is executed perfectly and all the performances are on the mark. The plot though is a by the numbers cat and mouse trip. If you're into the cinematic value of how shots are carried out and innovative camera technique then the plot maintaining a generic level won't distract. Overall this film shines bright in a time of abundant mediocrity at the box office. Panic Room will make for an entertaining night out at the movies or an excellent rental when the time comes.
Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Another technical Fincher funhouse
