Overall Call:
If you like what's-around-the-corner scary, check out The Others. There are many horror clichés wrapped up in the film but they worked on me. In fact the clichés were comforting because it kept my mind focused on - "it's just a movie". The frightening suspense was built well through the directing and editing. Kidman and the children were all equally excellent. The story has some great elements to it as well. If you are looking for a slasher flick the slower pacing of this film might disappoint you. But if you like more of a mental scare see this film, it's one of the best Hollywood horror films to come along in some time.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Great psychological scare
+ Solid acting and directing
