Overall Call:
To explain Mulholland Drive is a futile gesture. Hopefully you are semi-familiar with David Lynch films (Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart and Twin Peaks) and suffice it to say this is par for the course for him. The film is a stream of consciousness that lets you in just enough to make you think you know what is going on, then usually leaves you utterly confused. The acting by the leads is solid. All the characters are quite good really. The style and vibe is without a doubt Lynchian in all aspects. This is maybe even one of his darker films to date. If you are a fan of his other films (excluding perhaps The Straight Story) Mulholland Drive won't disappoint.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Lynch knocks out another wonderfully bizarre story
+ Solid lead performances by Justin Theroux and Naomi Watts
