Overall Call:
Enemy at the Gates is a nice Hollywood movie. Did you see the previews? They accurately depict the film. The story is a general shell you've seen time and time again. It is loosely based off of real characters. I have a sneaking suspicion though that there was a little embellishing going on. Some scenes achieve honest tension and intense war reenactments. If you dug Saving Private Ryan's opening, this one may not top it but shares the same intensity. The battle sequences are the winning aspects of the film. On the performance side Ed Harris' cold steely stare was my highlight. Overall, if the trailer/adds/promos intrigue you go check it out. It won't change your life but will pass a couple hours with a solid Hollywood entertaining zone out.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Great battle sequences
+ Ed Harris' performance
