Overall Call:
A Beautiful Mind's best attribute is a stellar performance by Russell Crowe. Ron Howard's direction is competent on all the basic elements and helps keep the story humming along. Some of the earlier buddy elements seemed too saccharine. Jennifer Connelly also turned in a heartbreakingly honest portrayal of the wife of Crowe's character John Nash. As biopics go, some rather key facets of John Nash's life were left out of the story. However, if the story is viewed as delivered, it is entertaining in it's own right. If you're looking for a heavy human-interest story A Beautiful Mind will satisfy.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Stellar performance by Russell Crowe
