Overall Call:
About a Boy delivers a nice story about the struggles of an outcast student and a hipper than thou selfish bachelor. The plot deals with some weighty issues, the boys Mum's deep depression and attempted suicide and the usual ridicule from the cool kids at school. Overall the story moves swiftly in a semi-predictable manner with smooth style and effortless performances by the cast. If in the mood for a film in this genre, you'll be hard pressed to find anything in the theatres that tops it.

Reasons For Recommendation:
+ Nice, sweet feel-good story
